Iv never been keen on the orange in the headlamps, and have been meaning to remove it for a while, and decided that today while my bumper was off was the ideal time to do it!

so this is what it looks like before

and this is what it looked like after

ok, so might not be to everyones taste but its what i wanted!

and heres how to do it.

Start by removing the bumper, this is the difficult part if you ask me, once the bumper is off disconnect all the electrics from the headlights and undo the three bolts, one on top, and two on the bottom.

with some moving around the light should then come off.

now pre-heat your oven to around 80 degrees celcius. making sure you have undone the two screws on the back of the head light, removed the rubber from the back of the main bulb part and removed ALL bulbs put in the oven one at a time.

i left mine if for 8 minutes, then removed (dont burn yourself its bloody hot!) now wearing gloves or something to protect yourself from the heat use a flathead screwdriver to seperate the front from the back.

once seperated allow to cool down then undo the two screws inside the front, which lets the front surround come loose, then you can undo the two clips holding the orange lens in and put the surround back on.

i put the light back together and put it back in the oven for a few mins to heat the sealent up and then pushed it back together properly. alternativly you can clean all the old sealent off and by some clear silicone from b&q or something to seal it back together.

id reccomend getting some chrome bulbs that flash orange. then put everything back as it was and you have the end result!

let me know what you think guys.

@GSRLoz , Hey mate one doubt....why you put that front head lamp set into the hot oven? what is the pre heat time? I wish to do clear head lamps in my Baleno... Is it only possible to remove the front lamp after removing the bumper?
