A whole new experience

Hi all,

Completely new to Balenos (and Suzukis in general) but yesterday acquired my first one by accident and wow! Aren't they just fantastic?

It's a 2000 on an X Reg, with 72,000 miles. It's also the 1.8 GSR (is that rare? any good?). The car is pretty much faultless apart from the fuel guage not working, I might get my local garage to look at replacing sender unit - does anyone know if it's a big job?

hi, its not really a big job (easy with a empty tank) if your good with your hands , you can do it in a couple of hours , but be warned if you get a sender from suzuki oochhh,
mine went , i replaced it ,i was lucky, got brand new one of ebay for a tenner, but to be honest check your wires first ,
exhaust off
fuel pipes off
tank straps off
wires  off
then it should drop on your head lol

hey mate, welcome to clubaleno. i also happen to have a baleno GSR and owned it for over a year now and absolutely love it. I am also like you being new to baleno and suzuki in general but mine has been pretty faultless. also i found a website that shows how many registered and on the road cars there are. apparently there are only about 420 baleno GSR's in the whole uk still on the road. the number will have dropped as over the past month i know of 2 that have infact been scrapped. hope you enjoy the GSR and any trouble just give us a hollar
