Hi all since i recently got problems with my '98 baleno i found this forum.

For a while my engine was already drinking oil (3 liters in 2.5 months +/- 4000km).
Until last week i called the dutch road service (ANWB), the guy checked the spark plugs and said the cause was lack of regular-maintenance wich seems strange to me because the last full/large service check only happend 12K km back.
Alright he cleaned the sparkplugs and the car ran fine for a whopping 5 ~ 10 minutes (<1km)

Does anyone know what could be wrong with my car? is it the ECU, sparkplug-cables, sparkplugs (only used them for 12K km)

Specifications of the car
Suzuki Baleno Estate
1.3L Gasoline
147000KM

I'd start with the cheapest thing first, which would be plugs, why not give it a full service again? Failing that try new leads. Any engine management light coming on next to your fuel gauge?

Problem is already solved the problem was the spark plug cables and the sparkplugs (they only run for 12 - 15k km) after 4000 km stil no more problems.

Will check soon to see if the oil is messing with my sparkplugs
