how easy are the door cards to get off? my electric window is a bit naff, so i figured I'd take a look at it. i just wanna make sure i can get them back on without messing it up when I'm done.

Very easy. . . just a few screws and pull around the edges and they pop off.
It will be the runners rusted up, thats what happen to mine had to knock out all the rust and hoover it out the door and cured the slow windows  Grin

finally got it done, as you said the door cards were easy. checked out the window track and all was fine so i greased it up anyway. no change, window was still running slow. anyway i asked a mate of mine and he popped round with a can of silicone lube and sprayed it on the rubber trim. job done, windows move like new.
next trick will finding out what that annoying rattle is when i accelerate hard. gonna get this car up to par if it kills me!

glad to hear you got it sorted, silicone grease works wonders. i am having much the same issues with mine but getting through them all slowly but surely  Grin
