Hey all....got a GS 1998 with full stainless exhaust, filter and lowered with eibach springs. Also got some titanium alloys 16s, side skirts and rear wing. Needs a few touch ups here and there but otherwise is pretty tidy. Its white and was wondering what else to do....its my work car so don't want to spend a fortune but was thinking of high lift cams.....any suggestions on other items?

well for the price of getting and fitting a high lift cam you could probably bold in a GSR 1.8 in there and have more BHP. failing that iv also heard that bolting on a 1.3 swift GTI cylinder head on to the GS block gives you a good whack of power. Do you have a stainless manifold? or de-cat? also you could consider having a power boost valve fitted and having your ECU re-mapped for your mods.

Its de-catted but not a stainless manifold. Going to replace my original one soon. Is the wiring loom the same for the 1.8 as the 1.6? Also will the fuel pump cope with that? Also thinking of eventually using it as a track car so a half roll cage was in consideration as I can get all the tubing required for very little - someone owes me a favour! Is the conversion to rear disks a task or relatively simple - no change to master cylinder I take it?
Do you know any breakers that can get the 1.3 head or 1.8 engines and any bits? Found one on ebay but he doesn't have much in any more.
Thanks for info!

im sure there was a GSR engine and box on ebay for £150 and not sure if that comes with the loom and ecu. as for the GS and GSR wiring. dont think the engine part of the loom would be the same bit i think the interior bit should be as they are almost identicle inside.
