hi guys, anyone got the part number for the thermostat on the j18a engine, bought a new one yesterday along with a water pump and belt as the pump was squealing and thought whilst i was at it i may aswell change the stat,
the one the parts place gave me was wrong, they gave me a first line stat kit part no. ftk 020 which is the only one first line sell, and this had a way too small diameter to fit the housing as in 10mm smaller and no rubber seal.
Also does anyone know if there is supposed to be a gasket between the thermostat housing and the block as i disturbed it getting the water pump of and it's now leaking Smiley

all sorted now, turns out there's an o ring between the stat housing and the block so have replaced that and cured the leak and found a stat made by blueprint part no. ADK89205 and that fits perfect
