Hi Guys,

Bought a GSR last week, every time I start from cold  - there is a vibrating sound (which lasts about a minute) then disappears.

Noise comes from the engine compartment, nothing major - but is annoying me (sounds like the manifold cover is loose and vibrating, but it's not that) ! :-)

cool, makes sense -  will get them adjusted and post back, thanks.

*** Just had a look, apparently they're hydralic and self adjusting (http://suzuki4u.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=54814&sid=e93ce9484061c454c424020a21c6ca12

Might be that I done an oil change last week using 10/40 part synthetic - is that the right oil?

I get a similar noise when its cold out side but i've only got the GS. Found out it is the thrust bearing so will replace when I take my clutch apart next month.
Does yours go away when you depress the clutch or does it still rattle?
5w40 synth should  be ok - been running that for 100,000 miles!

According to the owners manual 10w30 is the recommended, i ran 5w40 fine but changed to 5w30 fully synthetic. However i think that 10w40 wont do it any harm. I also get a rattle from cold which dissapears after a minute. it is just the hydraulic tappits because the oil has all drained from them. should be ok. mines has been rattly for a while and mines drives great, and i amnt shy of the throttle  Wink
